I made a purchase from this forum member recently.
Misrepresented item for sale as to condition and value.
Upon receiving item noticed a total disregard for misrepresentation and my request for adjustment and/or for settlement. Sent him 2 requests for resolution in this matter and totally ignored. paid him $600.00 for a S&W #645 for a 95% condition pistol as represented. and that he mis-represented to me . Upon receiving pistol noticed several flaws and mis-representations of the item purchased. After 2 inspections by 2 of my experienced Gunsmith's Both Smiths determined that repair and correct repairs for safety reasons would cost an additional $300.00 t0 $400.00 in repair, replacement costs, parts and labor.
I sent him 2 emails expressing my displeasure for buying his item (645) and cost of repairs and i am totally ignored.. I asked him for total refund of monies paid, along with shipping and my FFL fee along with cost of shipping. He never responded. Everyone on this board should notified and warned about this member... He will strike again. I tried selling this #645 locally to 3 different people (non forum members) and after their Gunsmith's inspections all conclusions came back the same. The slide and barrel bushing were so far in disrepair and faulty installation of front sight, the complete slide had to be replaced for safety reasons... the slide, barrel, and barrel bushing, and front sight are JUNK.. I got SCREWED. I told seller that this forum is comprised of friendly, knowledgeable members who trust and help one another and not lie and deceive one another for the sake of a sale. I am Totally ignored by seller. I have the correspondence between us if you care to review. I'M PISSED. He should have disclosed these imperfections along with mis-representations BEFORE the sale.
