Production Year Question

I just purchased my first S&W a Model 60 no dash and would like an idea of the age or when it was produced. The serial number is R2175XX. Thanks in advance for any information!

Welcome....according to the Standard Catalog, likely made in 1978. First stainless steel revolver, introduced in 1965.
