The TRR8 is an N frame, which might be a little large for some hands. That said it is also a PC product, with a very smooth trigger for DA and crisp for SA. Mine is 9.5# and 2.5#, respectively. It is an absolute delight to shoot, and very accurate.
The weight, just under 36 oz, is just right. It's heavy enough to handle full magnum recoil, and light enough for good handling and less fatigue on the range.
It comes with a gold bead front sight, which I changed for a fiber optic. A gold bead reflects light in a way that makes it hard to center, especially in an indoor range. The blade is easy to remove with thumb pressure, but I use a small Allen wrench through the access hole to compress the plunger for installation.
My auxiliary rails are still in the box. They add bulk, and I don't find that a barrel-mounted light/laser is good choice for carry or home defense. If this is a bedside gun, I suggest a set of Crimson Trace grips. Sans rails, the TRR8 will fit any holster for a 5" or 6" N frame.
