If you have BitDefender Free installed on your PC, here's a heads up. If you do anything involving restore points or rolling back to a known installation, do it in Safe Mode, otherwise bad things happen.
I did a major pruning of the restore points and when I restarted the computer it went into a permanent Update loop, which is pretty funny because it's a Win7 box that doesn't receive updates. Eventually I was forced to do a system restore from a week ago. Result of that was that BitDefender controls went AWOL, Chrome didn't work (no loss), and Firefox would not start.
So, beware heavy computer maintenance with BitDefender live. Use the Safe Mode.
