Well...I'll say it. I was born and raised with pure cane syrup and I HATE it in it pure form! Sorry but I'll take maple syrup every time. But I like raw sugar in coffee and like Lejeunes Ginger Cakes and other bakeables made with cane syrup. Go figure......

I was born ~23 miles south of where the above pic was taken. I believe the King farm is north of Nashville (Berrien County seat) and not in Ray City (south of Nashville).

I'm sure you're right. I mentioned Ray City simply because the link in my post leads to a page titled Ray City History Blog.

The caption for the photo I posted actually doesn't mention Ray City, itself, only Berrien County.

I'm not familiar with the area, myself.
