Recently purchased 1986 era Mod. 41. Mag (factory) would not eject from the pistol on its own. It would not do this with the slide locked back or closed. Took it apart cleaned it, and it would then eject easialy with the slide forward when the mag eject button was pushed.
Shot it today, disassembled, then cleaned. The mag will no linger eject on its own. Puzzled. Any ideas? I am not new to auto pistols, just the 41.
TIA,

STANDARD WARNING--UNLOAD PISTOL--CHECK AGAIN

If it were mine I would remove the grip panels and make certain of what is happening when you hold in on the grip release.
Obviously you have a drag somewhere.
Second step, remove the mag release, now check for drag.
Make certain that your magazines all slip in and out and drop freely when the release is removed. I have had magazines so worn and battered at the release slot that the mag release slot was dragging on the frame.
You will see that there is some adjustment possible in fitting the release, make sure that it clears the frame when installed and pushed in.

Other than mags which are battered and bent there are not too many other possibilities.
