Python - One Last Christmas Present for My Daughter

She needs some pink grips / stocks!

No business relationship with Tombstone Grips, but I think this project is tailor made for them.

I like your sentiment, but something about giving a child a toy that they cannot play with seems like a poor approach.
Personally, I'd have sat on the Python for another 5+ years and gotten her a Daisey Red Ryder BB for Christmas.

Still, it's an absolutely incredible gift, no doubt about that. I just think it might have come just a few years too early for her to really appreciate just how incredible it is, seeing as she can't really shoot it yet.

Way ahead of you on the BB gun :). We did that when she was 4 years old.

Also, I understand what you're saying about it possibly being "too early" for her to enjoy the revolver. Maybe. But, I want her to be invested to a degree. To feel some ownership and participation. She enjoys looking at and learning about the different guns. We talk about them. We talk about how to maintain them, safety, etc.

I asked, and she let me shoot it today :).

sorta reminds me when I see a chap and his "significant other' at a gun counter, he trying to convince her that for her new CWP or interest in shooting, a big, heavy gun like a Desert Eagle or other massive handgun is just what she needs.

I sometimes I try the same ploy, like convincing my wife that her new car needs the biggest engine possible. Or if she is considering a camera for her travel, that a heavy, pro grade camera is just the ticket for her small hands. She expressed an interest in a golf kart for our new home in our new neighborhood, so I worked to convince her that she needed one capable of "off roading" for her zip up to the clubhouse.

My adult daughter is up to my tricks. When she got her CWP, I took her to a LGS and tried to convince her that a big 1911 was what she needed. She told me it was dumb and just a pistol I wanted, and close a PPKs in 380 instead.

Enjoy "your" new Python!!! SF VET

What a great gift and series of pics. Scrolling down I thought oh, is she actually opening a box with a gun in it. Then yup, there's a gun in that box. Then oh is she gonna like it or just toss it over her shoulder like a pair of socks. Welp the smiling picture says it all. Great gift and hope she likes shooting it someday.
