Yes i have a Q about my mp15 magpul spec. It seems that the butt. Stock is quite wobbly. Is this normal with you guys lmp15 ?

Yes, a little wobble is normal for the standard MOE buttstock.

The Magpul CTR buttstock is very similar to the MOE buttstock, except there is an additional friction lock that gets rid of the wobble.

Ok. I was just wondering. My colt le6920 is Very snug. Do you know of a buttstock that will be tight. Keep in mind my m&p15 is the magpul spec that has the magpul made lower. Or atleast it has the magpul rollmark on the side of the lower....not sure if magpul made it or not.

I have the same MOE rifle. The buttstock wobbles. It's the buttstock and not the rifle that is causing the wobble. Magpul makes a better version of the buttstock (CTR) that has a lock that secures the buttstock to the buffer tube so it doesn't wobble. The CTR stock is a bit more expensive than the basic MOE stock that comes standard on the rifle.

Do you know if our rifle has a comercial Buffet tube or millitary?

The tube is Milspec, although I have found the stocks themselves are often Commercial. The CTR definitely provides a tighter lockup on the tube, although it really means nothing when looking at accuracy.

It's plastic riding on aluminum. The more you use it, the more loose it will become with time. -->()

Plain black electrical tape? Where at on the tube and how much? Thanks

Yeah. That was the old-school way I fixed it. Strips of electrical tape along the entire length of the buffer tube. The trick was to make sure there were no bubbles. Tape on, check fit, add tape if necessary.

The better method is to get some hook & loop velcro tape. What you want to use is the fuzzy 1/2 of the velcro tape. Some folks mount a 1" - 2" section of the fuzzy sided tape and affix it either to the inside of the top of the stock, or they mount the fuzzy sided tape to the top of the buffer tube.

Extend your stock to the most rearward position. Non permanently mark your buffer tube where end of the butt stock is. Remove butt stock. You'll then see how much space you have for mounting tape so no one can see it. No matter where the butt stock is adjusted.

I extend my butt stock to where I normally have it adjusted & follow the process above. I don't care if anyone sees the fuzzy tape or not.

It fixes the up and down and rotational wiggle. There will always be some muzzle to breech wiggle because that's determined by the difference in diameter of the adjustment pin in the buttstock and the diameter of the adjustment notches in the buffer tube.

Easy-peasy way to fix that little bit of annoying wiggle without outlaying a bunch of $$$.

I have the magpul edition too. The stock does wobble. I don't feel like spending money and getting another one because it won't matter. I do plan on getting the colt magpul edition as that one comes in on green. Can anyone tell me the colt le price and where one can get it from?

I used slick guns and I'm seeing regular models for 834 in od green. Wondering if that's cheaper than le?

I seen a magpul Colt at Wal-Mart the other day. It was around $1200
