The title pretty much says it all.

I know that S&W fits 6 rnds of .327 mag where they could only fit 5 rnds of .357 mag (J-frame). My two questions are: (1) What's the max # of rnds of .327 mag could they fit in a K-frame?

(2) What's the max # of rnds of .327 mag could they fit into a L-frame?

Thanks ahead of time.

Six in the "K" and seven in the "L".

That's surprising, at least to me.

The cylinder in the L, IIRC, is merely 1/10" larger in diameter than that in the K. The L can handle 7 rnds of .357 S&W Magnum, but you say the K can only handle 6 rnds of the smaller .327 Federal Magnum? Hmm.

I was hoping S&W could come out w/a 3" or 4", full-lug, 7-shot .327 Fed. magnum in a K-frame.

A 6-shot K-frame wouldn't really offer much over a 6-shot J-frame in .327 mag.
