I think the top ones are pretty much what i have on my bushmaster. Work great. No problems

I have experience with both, I actually really like the omega tactical rail...:D
 
I have the UTG with rail protectors on the bottom only. Fits nicely in the hand and was really easy to install.
 
Do some research and look at the weight. If I'm not wrong the UTG and most others are in the 1.5 - 2lb range. The higher end models like the Daniels Defense cost more but weigh a lot less (my DD is 9 ounces). Almost all of them work good and look great. If weight is important to you do some research first.
 
the omega tactical that I had didnt weigh a pound, I gave it to a friend and I am sure we can pop it off and weight it but it sure didnt weigh a pound and a half to two pounds. I am trying to remember but it was more like 10 ounces, I dont remember what the shipping weight was but it that may be what you are referring to.
 
Oneyeopn is absolutely correct. I just checked and the UTG is 11 ounces I can't find the omega weight but since it appears they are all made from the same type of aluminum I would suspect I was looking at shipping weight not installed weight....humble apologies (and you have no idea how hard it is for a squid to say that to a jar head) :)

Agree. I have an Omegatactical installed. I'd say certainly under a pound. You'd know. You pointed me to it!
 
Oh Scott...I do know how hard that was for you but thanks for stepping up and doing it :D I just couldnt believe something out of aluminum with that many holes in it weighed that much!
 
i have the omega and its a VERY solid mount.. ill recommend it to anyone wanting a quad rail on a budget... then again im biased since its the only one ive ever needed lol ;)

I have the UTG on mine. Gets the job done. No complaints
