Great carry gun.
I have the 4" that goes in the woods with me.
Use a chest holster since my Jeep seats wont allow me to carry on a belt.
Are you keeping the stock grip on it ?

Good choice for a woods gun. I have the same gun, and it is a favorite for walks in bear country here, and in moose country up in Maine. I usually keep it loaded with HC 250 grn SWC's at about 1000 fps. Hits hard, but still controllable.

The factory rubber grips were comfortable, but did not like the look. Tried a set of VZ grips, but they were too abrasive with heavier loads. Settled on a set of Altamont real rosewood grips that look good, and split the difference in comfort.

Carry

How does this gun carry? I used to Carry a 4" K Frame or a Ruger Speed Six 2 3/4 . Do you feel this gun feels the same size. I would carry the other two all the time. If I new I could carry a Model 69 2 3/4 with the same amount of comfort and concealment, I most definitely would.

I pickup my CCW renewal on Tuesday. I have the grips installed that came with the 69 new. So, I have not yet carried with it but I have tried it on in the house with the outer waistband type holster and find it more comfortable than my 5" 1911 with a similar holster. The instructor shot it and was very impressed with the smooth double action trigger pull. I have dry fired it about 1k times and it has really come around in that regard.
