Question about a M17-4

8 3/8" model 17 barrels are fairly scarce. While I am aware that they were made with that barrel length, I have yet to actually see one in the wild. Personally, I much prefer the standard 6" tubes on a M17 and above that I love the 4" M18's - but that is just my personal preference.
 
It is a Thai hardwood - that is all that I know. They are grips that I purchased on eBay from one of the Thai sellers. They are great feeling grips and pretty easy on the eyes.

From the pictures you posted, it looks like they are probably a book-matched set.
Got any pictures of them showing how the grain matches up at the butt?

I don't have a photo of the bottom of the grips handy, but they are bookended. A nice touch for some inexpensive grips ($60-$70 as I recall).
