I was shooting my 586 tonight and one of the two pins in the back side of the cylinder on the case ejector was working its way out and binding up the cylinder.
I took it out so it wouldn't fall out and saved it.
Is the pin just a guide for the ejector?
Is this common on these? Do I need a new pin? Does a replacement pin just press in?
I quit shooting it after i saw the loose pin because I wasn't sure if it was safe to shoot like that.
I'm new to handguns, so any help would be great.
I asked here instead of in the smithing section because I figured that there's a lot more revolver-specific traffic here.
Thanks.
