I visit my Walmart almost every day in hopes of finding some .380 for my new LCP. That has been futile but they are getting a lot of .40 S&W lately. They have about twenty boxes of (50) Federal .40 180 gr FMJ FN for $13.97.

This is less expensive per round than the Winchester value pack of target rounds. I use .40 cal in my Glock 23. I picked up one box but no one else seems to be touching this stuff as it has been there for several days. Is there anything wrong with it? If not then I think I'll stock up on a few more boxes.

In addition to the Winchester target rounds they also have several boxes of (25) Winchester .40 cal 180 gr JHP in a fancy little black box selling for $21.97 per box which comes to about 88 cents/round plus tax. I forgot the name of the stuff but it must be something special.

Sad thing is I paid more than that for the only .380 I have been able to find and that was ordering online. I hope the ammo supply in this country can get back to normal someday.

I've heard of some hard primer issues with Win. ammo lately, but I haven't experienced any. Plus .40 around here is getting pretty common, maybe people think they have enough.

Sounds like the new Bonded PDX1, pretty much a bonded version of of the SXT and pretty good stuff.

Oops, I read your question wrong. Agreed, the Federal should serve you pretty well, and a great price also.

Federal is good ammo and should serve you well.
I trust my butt to Federal Hydra Shok.

Thanks for all the responses. I am so accustomed to seeing all of the pistol ammo disappear as soon as it comes in that I wondered why this was still there. The supply of .40 must be coming back. I'll get some more of this tomorrow.
