Hello all,
I would like one of these. I already have 686/642. Do you have to OR is it better to use moonclips with N frames? I like the NG310. I handled a NG325 and it appeared you didn't need to use moonclips. I'm still learning, any input would be appreciated.

Depends on the model. I used to compete with a 28, which used the standard ejector design. I used speed loaders with it and wondered why anyone would buy a revolver chambered for .45 ACP.

Then I watched other shooters doing reloads with moon clips. I watched videos of Jerry Miculek. And I Saw The Light.

I stopped using the 28 and bought a 25. Then I sold that to buy a Performance Center 625. And more moon clips and a de-mooning tool and more moon clip holders.

All 6 cartridges load at once, easier than with a speed load, AND all 3 eject together. No cases caught under the ejector star, no lost cases and no speed loaders to find.

Oh - if you are already shooting .45, it's even easier. Just do NOT try to use SWC's with moon clips. The shoulders will hang up - use RNFP's.

Like .40 or 10mm? Find a 610.

Both the NG310 and the NG325 will require the use of moon clips. But if you use 45 auto rim with the NG325 then you will not need the moon clips.
