Take off all accessories. (I left my aftermarket flash hider on and did not have any problem.) Do not send in with cartridge in chamber:eek: or the magazine. They also request using a plain box for the return. Someone must be present when rifle returned to sign for the package.

Thank you for the quick response!!!

When you get the label all the instructions will be included with it. I took two large size Fedex boxes and put the gun in one then slid the boxes over each other to create the box when I sent mine in. I also wrapped the gun in bubble wrap and taped the heck out of it. I also removed the sights and did not send in the magazine.

When they return the gun it will be in a nex box just like it was when you bought it and if it is like mine there will be two new magazines included.

Use a return address where someone can receive the package when it's returned. Your office or shop, for instance.

Besure to send a note with the rifle as to why it's being returned. S&W lost mine and had to call me -- not sure where they got my phone number without the note, but...

I separated the receivers, bubble wrapped them, and returned them in a much smaller box than the rifle was returned to me in. I sent it just like I received it, sights and all but less magazine. Was returned in the same condition, only it had an extractor in the bolt, and there were two magazines.

Once I received the emailed FedEx label I dropped it off at FedEx the next day -- I drive very near it daily.

I recommend having fed ex pick up your rifle at your house. Call fed ex and they will arrange a pickup....MUCH easier!!

Did anyone send the mag with theirs like me? Instructions said to send it now I'm just wondering if I'll get it back + 2 new ones

Seems like the guys that didn't send in a mag got two new ones. The ones that sent their gun in with a mag got one new mag plus their old mag back.

If you are having a feeding problem, I guess it is possible that they want your magazine and the gun.

Yeah, if that's the case, then demand to know what they did to REPAIR your mags. I sent my rifle in w/ no mags after I told them my problem was mostly ftf. The guy said don't send the mags. I got two free ones :D . No difference in the free mags from my originals:confused: The problem does appear to be fixed though, so no complaints from me:) Please post if they changed your mags!!

I sent my mag back because that is what was in the instructions that SW sent. I guess I should have asked on here before I did so I could get 2 free mags too.

A bit off topic...how long is everyone waiting to get their rifles back?
