Does anywhere know if this new series have the Hillary hole in them. I've done a web search and attempted a search here (doesn't want to work for me here). None of the vendors that have them shows picture of the ejector side of any of the revolvers in this series. Palmatto State has the 686 for under 700 out the door from my FFL and I would definitely order one if it were a true old school Smith. My no dash 686 past 10k+ full power magnums a while back and I'm feed it a little more tame diet now of HS6 powder now. It's time get a replacement for the 16.5/158 grain H110 loads I prefer.

Doesn't the S&W web site have pictures of them?
There is nothing that S&W makes currently or is going to make any time soon that can hold a candle to the no-dash 686 you own now.
I can guarantee that if you buy a brand new one and all your experience is with the 686 no-dash you have, you will be disappointed.
If you want a revolver on the same level, go find a pre-owned S&W. There are a gujillion out there. It will cost you more than $700, but you’ll be far happier.
Absolutely feel free to call me out if you buy a new one anyway and you think I’m wrong.
