I used to go to Brookley AFB quite often in the mid-sixties until it were closed. There was a restaurant on the Mobile Bay cause-way that was called Mrs. Palmers that had out of the world seafood. They said that they got their oysters from Bon Secour Bay. I know that they were the best that I have had.
I just wondered if any of you had been around long enough to remember the place. I was told that it had burned down and someone later told me it was being rebuilt.
I have some fond memories of Mobile and the people that I dealt with at Brookley. Some very nice people.

The hurricane a couple of years ago took out most of the buildings on the causeway. The best resturant there now (my opinion) is the Oyster House which was also wiped out but rebuilt. The hurricane impact was strong enough to tilt over the nearby Alabama battleship. Brookley now has education centers of various types. I think the University of S. Al is over there.
