US Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX) is of Cuban descent, but was born in Canada. He's a US citizen, of course, and is widely expected to seek the Presidency in 2016.
There has been some controversy over whether he qualifies as a native-born American.
Some famous Canadians work in Hollywood, but I don't know if any became US citizens. The best known are Wm. Shatner(Ontario) and Pamela Anderson (B.C.) Also, A..J Cook, who plays Supervisory Special Agent Jennifer Jarreau on, "Criminal Minds" is Canadian, as is her best friend, who plays the Secret Service bodyguard on the new series, "Intelligence." I can't think of her name. And the brunette in the film, "Wild Things" is Canadian, but I think went back up there. She used to star on, "Party of Five", too. Neve Campbell. Pretty good actress.
I'm sure there are others working here in TV and movies, but have no idea how many become Americans. There are some Aussies here, too, but they nearly always have to fake US accents, so most never know their origins. One who might surprise you is Anthony LaPaglia from, "Without a Trace." Poppy Montgomery from that show is also Australian. So is the hot blonde from, "Chuck." But I think she went home when that show ended.
