Question for fellow left handers....

I think people over complicate these things. I'm a lefty and use the AR the way it was designed. Not because I think it's the only way it should be but simply because I don't need the safety. If I'm shooting, obviously the rifle is not on safe. When I'm done I can put it on safe. But generally I don't use it at all. When I'm done shooting I drop the mag and clear the rifle and done.

This is OK if you only ever use the gun at a static range. I guess some do that and it's a reasonable use of the gun. However, many others use the gun as intended which includes movement with a charged gun. In those situations the safety/selector is not just a good idea, it's a necessity. So, it behooves us to learn to manipulate the switch.
