I'm looking for a lefty upside down shoulder holster for my J frame snub and found Navada Gun Leather on the internet. It looks like a good value @ $114 + S&H. Does anyone have any experience with this company both good or bad? Any help is most appreciated.

Nevada Gun Leather

I have been carrying a M10 3 inch in one of their holsters for the last year and half and find it to be decent quality. I bought it at the Reno Gun Show from one of their reps. I have looked for them at the last three shows, but I guess they have given up that particular show. I wouldn't mind another holster. I think I paid around $55 for the one I have.

Upside down rigs are very dependent on tight fit of gun in leather, at least this was so in the rigs of the 70s. Make sure the rig is boned for the frame you have: there are differences between in bbl and frame length between old and new J-frames. Also in frame height and bbl profiles in the Scandium jobs. Forgive the lecture:rolleyes:.

Kaaskop49 makes an important point. My M&P 340 doesn't fit the pocket holster for my 1990s 642.

Thanks for the back-up! I'm surprised to hear about this in a pocket rig. Pocket jobs are usually pouches: they have to be a little loose to allow smooth draw and prevent the rig from coming out with the gun. Never had a problem with the UM (now Blackhawk) #3 which holds both the 642 and 342 (essentially the same in dimension as the 340).

Maybe try Concealment Specialties LLC. Google them for their website. Their jobs are shaped better IMO than the UM. About $15 each with different sizes.
