A friend just picked up a 4" M66-3 with the US Forest Service crest on the sideplate and
"1 of 124" stenciled on the frame below the cylinder. (Combat trigger and hammer)
It is in the original box with unopened cleaining kit. The smooth target grips don't have a flaw I can find. The business end of the cylinder has no indication it was ever blackened and there is no flame cutting of the topstrap, but the bore is dirty. There is not a scratch or mar on it anywhere.

I'd enjoy hearing what everybody thinks it's worth - would YOU shoot it? or is it a safe queen?

I drooled even after he put it back in the box.

I'd say $550 for LNIB 4" 66-3.

I'd shoot it too. Regards 18DAI.

As you describe it I would try to get it for $500, but would gladly pay $550. I love my 4" M66-ND. Just feels good in the hand and shoots great. Mine came in a wood presentation case with the tools for $450 three years ago. PEN

Thanks, guys.
I, too, love my 4" M66, though I wish it were in this condition. This gun was just purchased by my friend for $200 cash.
Sweet deals (the contraction of which term is
"steals") DO still occasionally come along.
And, no, he is NOT selling any time soon.
