A friend of mine had one a while back. It is a spanish copy of the model 29. I believe they were all made with a 2 3/4" barrel, and discontinued in 1989. I never got to shoot it, but he described it as a flame thrower.

My best friend bought a stainless one NIB about 8 years ago. I had a chance to examine it. It appeared well made. I was with him once when he shot it. It shot fine--although the B/C gap was large enough to cause the cylinder to get real dirty after one or two cylinders (something I had never seen before).

I read a magazine article on these guns waaay back in the mid-80's. The writers seemed to agree that it was a nice piece. I always wished I'd found one, I'd like to try it out....

animalmother, do you recall if it was the same size as a smith 29. i also was not aware thay were made in stainless. wish someone could post some pics of one.

pred, thanks for the link, not a bad looking
revolver. looks strong.
thanks for the info guys.

I owned one back in the late eighties. About the same size as a N frame. Not alot of fun to shoot even with the Pachmeyer Compacts that came on it but accurate enough. Definately a flamethrower as stated above especially with the Reminton 180's I fed it. I traded mine for a M94 Winchester but would buy another if I stumbled across one.

Im going to buy it, im thinking from the info everyone has given me, like the 29. it would of course be more fun to shoot with 44.specials
i dont want to start any fires at the range.
thanks for the info everyone.

Cant flame any more than any other 3" 44mag.
You will have to post pics when you get it!
Peter
