I bought a brand new 4566TSW with night sights. I had a loaded magazine and when I cycled the slide putting a round into the chamber and tried dropping the loaded mag, it wouldn't drop.

Everytime with different ammo, the mag hangs up. I haven't been able to shoot it yet, but is that common with the TSW line? I know 4506 I just shot a couple weeks ago didn't. I'm just hoping I won't have this problem while actually shooting the gun. I racked the slide with force and less force and same results.

Alot of pistols when racked the friction from the top round being stripped off moves the round beneath it forward some & causes the trouble your having..
I'd have a look at the magazine or it's spring but I personaly don't have any auto loaders that keep me from removeing the magazine which could be real trouble..
Good Luck!!

There are at least four updates to the 645/4500 mags. The newest have square indents in the feedlips and a black follower, these do the best to hold the top round back. There is no problem with firing the gun, it is just more difficult to remove a partially full mag with the lead round sticking out.

When I pull the mag out the round on top is forward quite aways. It does this with every magazine. I would like a partially loaded mag to drop free.
