Question regarding value ???

I was offered a pair of 4" Class "A" Engraved Model 57's both NIPC, one nickel, and the other blued.

Any idea what the value of the pair might be?

He is asking $ 3,000.00 for the pair.

Not enough info. Who did the engraving? If not done at S&W, how's the quality?

The mere fact of an "engraved" gun doesn't necessarily add to its value.

I know little about collector values , but
a Factory Engraved model 57 -New in a Presentation case surely must be worth $1500

It doesn't sound too bad to me, I do not have any engraved guns, but if two 4" 57's were presented to me, I would have two in my collection as long as they were not engraved with flowers or turkeys and the such.
