Does anyone own a RCBS Charge Master 1500 Powder Scale and Dispenser Combo? If so, what is your opinion? Thanks for any information!

I don't own one but I have a friend who does. He uses it to make - of all things - special shotgun shells. Yes, he is a bit of a fanatic. 
He seems pretty happy with it but I remember him mentioning he thought it was pretty pricey. I do not recall what he paid for it. I have never been around when he was using it so I can't make any first-hand observations.

I have one and it's all i use. I use it for a multitude of cartridges. Both rifle and pistol. i use it to remove one possible error from my reloads. I must say it has paid for itself. I lost power once and had to go back to a powder throw and redding balance beam. I had a hard time getting a good rhythm going. And my throws were not as consistent. I can dispense then seat and check oal and my next charge is ready.

I have a friend with the RCBS Charge Master Combo and a friend with a Hornady Lock-N-Load Auto Dispenser and the guy with the RCBS never complains the the Hornady guy is always complaining about charge weights and how long it takes to throw a charge.
There is one for sale around here. A guy traded in all his reloading stuff, dies, brass, powder bullets etc. I bought a bunch of stuff and thought about the new fangled powder thingy.
Maybe for a few rifle loads or something but looks painfully slow to me to load a few hundred pistol loads??

I have had one for five years or so - and I did a review on it here when I got it. Feel free to search for that.
Glad to have it: great for making up those max loads that you want to be sure to weigh. It needs to be kept out of winds and should probably not be on the same circuit as fluorescent lights. Unique powder is a hassle in it, as it clumps up.

I got one after reading Erich's review. The chargemaster is an excellent tool. My only gripe is sensitivity to the AC cycling on/off in the summer. I have not had trouble with unique clumping, although it does occasionally overthrow a few .1 gr.
I use mine for load development, when I want to make several small batches with varying powder charges. I also use it when making full power .357.

I have a kinda expensive, very accurate electronic scale. I used it a few times. It now sits in a drawer. The Dillon (by Ohaus) balance beam is just as accurate and easier to use.
I like tech stuff but electronic scales ain't one of them.
As I mentioned I can get a perfect one for dirt cheap but would have no use for it.
If anyone wants one or dies and brass for a 500 SW let me know I will go to the LGS and guy the stuff. Some guy got out of reloading and traded in all kinds of stuff. I got the new 45 ACP and 44 Mag brass and 4 lbs of H110. There is RCBS dies for 45 ACP and 500 SW.
I am not selling anything here I am offering to do someone a favor and get a deal on it for someone else. Kinda of a Karma but I am not going to purchase it if no one wants it cause I do not need it.
