Questions on a 3" 66-5 pre lock

I came across a 3" 66-5 pre lock but with frame mounted firing pin. Special order #9014, product code 102719. Red ramp white outline, not the hi-viz model. Maybe unfired, i can't tell that it's been fired. It came with several pairs for grips. Considering trading it. I attempted several searches but came up empty handed. Tia jp

which grips were the factory issued?

I owned a 3" 66-5 and it came with Uncle Mike rubber round butt grips on it originally.
I think I got around $800 for it in February when I sold it.

Thanks it had the uncle mikes grips on it in the box. But it also came with a set of fake ivories. Which i remember being on an issue of 3" 66's but i couldn't remember which issue. Jp

The fake ivories came on the 3" super k.

I would not part with any of my 3" 66's. They evidently won't make anymore as nice as those. Regards 18DAI.

I've got one.... It was my feeble contribution to the 3rd edition of the SCSW. Product code 102719: 3" 66-5, RR WO RB, service style faux-ivory grips with no medallions.

3" model 66

3" Model 66 is one of my grail guns. I had a CS-1 but had to trade it away (A trade I still regret). I settled for the best of both worlds, a 3" 686 barrel on a 66 frame.

A 1999 run of approx 300 66-5 3" came with the ivory like polymer grips.
