Questions on my 1066

I was cleaning my 1066 this morning and decided to "try" to remove the grip. I drove out the pin in the bottom and tried to pull in every direction.....I simply could not get them off. Any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated. Do's and dont's and thanks in advance. This is my first Smith & Wesson Semi Auto so I don't want to break anything....especially those delrin grips.

Try pressing up on the bottom rear of the grip. This should release the grip.
