My wife went with some women from "A girl and a Gun" club to in indoor USPSA match. She loved it but didn't have the right holster so she used someone else's gun and belt to shoot 1 round.

She actually had 2nd highest for accuracy but her time was very slow... \To my question..I have been anting to get involved in competitive shooting for awhile and this will work locally. I plan to shoot my CZ75B in 9mm or full size .45 M&P in major or my 1911.
My wife is shooting a Ruger SR9C or a CZ75B.

MY actual question: My eyes are getting older. Is there any sights that would help? I find it hard to see my sights and the target anymore. If I wear my cheaters I can see the sights but not the target and visa versa.
I have heard something about a big dot front sight but have no info on them or weather they would be legal or how they help us folk with aging eyes.

If the matches are indoors it will be tough, I run into the same problem. Outdoors the fiber optic sights help but even there I used shooting glasses with one lens set for my close in vision so my front sight is in focus. The XS big dot might help it seems to work best to have the front sight in focus and let the target blur when you get a choice. The next step is open class with a Red Dot scope, but now you're talking some cash. USPSA puts more emphasis on time than pinpoint accuracy and most shooting is at close range so go and have fun and you'll see which way you want to go with it.

I had my doc adjust my prescription like handgunner described (off side eye: normal trifocal prescription, strong side eye: close and medium prescription only) this is an improvement for iron sights. Then I went ahead and jumped into the open class with a reflex (red dot) sight and I had to go back to my regular glasses because I was looking though the optic with my strong side eye. I'm in open class because of the optic (and mag capacity) and I've accepted the fact that at my age (and physical ability) I'll never compete with the serious "race gun" guys (and girls) I just have a good time.

I have 20/20 or better vision BUT I also have presbyopia and can't read or use the computer w/o reading glasses. My optometrist is a shooter so he has made me a pair of shooting glasses that make the front sight perfectly clear. Seeing the target is over-rated in IPSC.

A fiber optic front sight in red or green is a big help. You can change the fiber yourself.

Definitely get in the game....you could be top geezer!
