Quick question for Victory owners

Picked it up this afternoon and we tried the takedown screw and it worked perfectly. Did the paperwork ( he had forgotten that we didn't do it and was impressed that I was honest enough to tell him) and took it home. I cleaned it and lubed and can't wait to get to the range. I'm going to call S&W customer service to see if they will send me a new allen wrench to replace the one with the stripped out end.

You're certainly due another hex wrench, BUT I suggest you do yourself a favor and buy a quality hex wrench and replacement screw. Biggest part of this problem is cheap, low-grade screws and tools.

I've got a bunch of those hex wrenches in my tool box but I still want them to send me a new one since it was damaged by trying to get the screw loose. I'll have to scrounge around to find a replacement screw but that is a good idea. I'll see how that original screw does at the range next week.

I called customer service this morning and they are sending me a new hex wrench free of charge. It should be here by the end of the week.

I have put the first 150 rounds thru my Victory just a couple days ago. I would buy it again.
I did install the #61 o-ring on the takedown screw and torqued the barrel and break down screws to 40 inch pounds each. Neither went loose. 150 rounds isn't a real test, but I ran out of daylight at the range.

I had to send mine back because neither I nor my LGS could get the screw out. Got an email from S&W that it will be back on Thursday, 2 weeks from them receiving it. Good service, but now my only problem is that the WX is going sub-zero, so it may be a while before I get to go shooting again.

Update: I finally rec'd a package from S&W this afternoon. They sent me the wrong part! Instead of a hex wrench they sent me a grip screw. Guess I'll have to make another phone call when they open back up on Jan 2nd.

Called S&W yesterday and was surprised to get through so easily. They are sending me the hex wrench so it should be here in a week or so. At least I hope so. *s*

I got one July 2016. It was great at first, but is back at Smith & Wesson now for the second time after the extractor fell out for the second time. Hope they get it right this time.

I had narrowed my choices down to the Victory and Mark IV. In fact, I was leaning more toward the MarkIV, but when I picked them up, the SW22 felt so much better in my hand.....the balance is great. The first time out it was flawless in operation and seemed very accurate. I have no regrets, great gun for me.

New hex wrench arrived in the mail today so I'm good to go. As soon as it warms up a little it's back to the range. My grandson wants to learn to shoot so you know granddad is going to do it.

Good choice; I have two 22 Victorys, one all tricked out and the other box stock. Just curious...what did you see as street price for the MarkIV vs. 22 Victory?
$519 for the MK IV 22/45
LGS only had one. They wouldn't budge on price.
The list price on the Ruger was $599 at the LGS. They did come down a little.

Please forgive me for reviving an old thread, but with all you SW22 owners in here, I thought this might be the best place to ask a question.
I'm looking for the specs to the screw for the front sight? I thought it was a M4, but it's got finer threads and I don't have anything to compare it to. Local ACE was no help either.
I have the metal pic rail on it with a red dot and not using the front sight so I want to put a set screw in it to keep it crude free.

WOW, Do the twists come out when you retighten the screw?Ugh! Can't get the take down screw out. First Victory was fine. This one is just like my threaded portion of my S&W MP22Compact which I had to use a breaker bar to take off!
Guess I'll soak it and wait to see. I ruined two other wrenches.
