Hi, all. One quick question. Are Ahrend's Retro Target stocks cut/relieved for speedloader use? I looked at all the pics on the Top Gun Supply page and they appear to be, what with the cut out on the left stock, but I want to make sure before ordering. Cocobolo stocks ought to look good on my 4" M66-2! Thanks.

I'd like to know for sure as well. But from the pics their cut out looks just like the one on the old (mid 80s) S&W combat stocks.

OK Took the Retros off my K22 and installed them on an old 66. With an HKS speedloader they fit but with not much to spare. The "bunp" towards the frt of that grip could use a slight bit of relieving. Then again...mine are EARLY retros one of the first...the new ones may be relieved there.

But bottom line; it works.

I have used speed loaders and moons with these and they do fine:

I have three sets of the Ahrends Retro target stocks on three revolvers. The speedloaders work just fine. In fact, on one I use it in IDPA, and it works even when trying to rapidly use the speedloaders.

They really feel great in your hand as well. They are my favorite grips right now ... and cheaper than Spegels. Great quality.

Just got retro target grips for a 29-10 and the Comp I speedloader is no go. I just ordered an HKS to try.

Just tried an HKS speedloader loaded with 44 Specials in a 629 Mtn Revolver wearing Retro Targets. Thet fed but if I were carrying this combo for SD I would remove some of the wood on the ridge around the speedloader cutout as this was a bit high. And I mean just a bit, a little cosmetic nip and tuck and they will feed at speed. That's my experience yours may differ.

But I love the grips and have them on all my N and K frames.
