You can clearly see this guys equipment hanging out. I called my wife in the room and said, 'Hey, babe. Can you believe this made it in the movie?" Sure. There was a syndicated series in the 1990's called, "Acapulco H.E.A.T." which was filmed in Mexico (?). It used a lot of S&W 9mm autos.

It's a pre-Clinton Lock gun (note the absence of a hole above the cylinder switch)

The clue for me was the firing pin retaining screw on the hammer but I wasn't sure of the dash number.
