R44MG6, am I the only one who misses it?

This was Remington's 210gr SJHP load for .44 Mag.

IIRC it left their 4 inch vented test barrel around 1450fps.

It was my preferred load for my 629 Classic for years.

Expansion and penetration was great for an all-purpose load.

I only have 6 rounds of it left and Remington quit making it years ago despite my begging.

I know Winchester has the 210gr Silvertip but it just doesn't have the velocity to weight ratio of those old green & yellow box boomers.

Scott, If Remington 210s aren't available, you could make a handload that I'm guessing would exibit similar behavior by using the Sierra 210 gr. JHC if the Remington bullet has been discontinued as a component.

I have around 100 handloads with the Game King 210 JHC and close to 300 cast lead 200gr. That all shoot to roughly the same POI as the factory load.

But it's nice to also get factory loads when you want them.

The 210 SJHP is still available as a component from Remington (when you can find it).

Like Flop-Shank Said the sierra 210 or the Speer 210 GD would both be good bullets to work with, pick the one your gun prefers.

Both would be good bullets but are different. The Sierra will fragment, The Gold Dot shouldn't.
