racking made easy - Handi-racker

Please excuse my warped sense of humor, but I just keep seeing images of..."But wait, there is more! For an additional shipping fee...."

Replace the gun with one you can rack; maybe go with a revolver for protection?
I also don't like the idea of sitcking my hand anywhere near the muzzle of a gun to rack it.

I second with what upcountry said.

Try a Walther Pk380 or CCP in 9mm both super easy to rack
H&K P30sk and my Sig 229C are also easy.

A lot of Macho Men professing their ignorance here.

Logic and common sense should let anyone with half a brain know this tool is not intended for self defense situations but still some feel the need to state the obvious.Yikes!

I'm hoping I never have to use the Handi-Racker at the range but I have the cheap tool in my bag if in "my estimation it's needed for a job it's made and sold for.

its obvious it can't be used during a SD but it should also be obvious to people with a whole brain like yourself you need to be able to rack the slide of your pistols without any extra tools !! Or carry a pistol that you can !! and I believe that is what most of the people who have responded have tried to convey !!

Just in case I'm ever in a situation and need to rack the slide on my M&P40 PC Ported and only have one hand I've mounted an easy to use "multi-function" slide "racker" on it.

Excuse me a minute Mr Bad Guy my gun needs racked and my racker is in my range bag out in the car. Can you wait to shoot me while I go get it?

Thanks for validating that I'm not the only one that gets carried away with mods. :D

Another less expensive option is a small circle or strip of traction tape (or safety grit tape) on each side of the slide.

The "Gator Grip" and 3M brands seem to stay in place. Self adhesive. Comes in strips or rolls.

Looking at the reviews of the "tac rac" on amazon..... Don't think my shield 40 needs a butt plug. Had a good laugh at that comment
