Just wondering If i would see a problem loading 115 gr 9mm rounds instead of the heavier 124 for extended range shooting.

thanks for the reply. Before I purchased a ton of rounds I wanted to see if the smaller grain weight would, oh idk. allow more FTE.

Very lightly loaded 115gr can lead to some problems, as early adopters of the Gen 4 Glock 19 found out when they tried using Federal 115gr from Wal-Mart. Properly loaded though, 115gr bullets in 9mm are absolutely fine.

If you are loading FMJ bullets I wouldn't think there would be much of a difference other than a slight POI difference. I had a Browning High Power for many years (sold it recently) and shot which ever I could get on sale, but again these were FMJ. As far as lead goes, I never got into reloading the 9MM so I will defer to others who have more experience with lead bullets here.
