My wife and I got along fine with my gun hobby from the start. When we met she had very little gun experience and wanted to learn so we spent time together shooting. She used to go shooting with me a lot, less often now but still does sometimes, mainly her own guns but will still try anything I've brought. We've both slowed down a bit over the years.
I guess I was lucky in who I found because she never cared much what I bought gun wise. So long as the bills were paid she was fine with it. She also used to surprise me with guns for my birthday and Christmas, she had a knack for finding out what I was interested in at various shops and surprising me with it. That kind of went away after I went full time into the gun business though, then it was like "you're handling guns every day, just buy what you want LOL". I chose well (and thankfully she still seems to feel the same!).

So when she went off on the "range trip" did she come back with a lot of cash?
Luckily my wife doesb't care...course I had a gun shop for 40 years...I've bought 2 gins and 16 poubds of powder lately...for 900 bucks......a 336 in 35 Rem and a C grade 870 trap..Powder was all Uique couple of Bullseye and 2400. ...sold most of the powder for 25 a pound. Momma thinks I'm making money
Don’t remember but most likely she was lighter than when she left the house.
When I buy a new gun my wife complains that we don't go shooting any more.
She forbade him to communicate with you too! He has probably been divorced at least 29 of those years. People who marry other people, with the idea of remolding them into something that they are not, usually fail. Of course I know of an exception that proves the rule...My best friend from my school days has been henpicked and dominated for 55 years; he seems to thrive on it. Poor guy.
I’ve got 2 now. I think they are the coolest thing going. Their simplicity is almost artistic lol.
We've been on vacation last few days in the mountains,,,,,,,,When I see a gun shop I stop and go in. She waits in the truck......Been wanting an old ITHACA 37 pump gun for a long time..........They had one and I bought it.......Walked out and put it in the truck..........She says....I figure you found something cuz you was in there so long......Never ask price or anything else...........Married 51 years will get ya that.

My ex asked me to buy her a pistol shortly after we were married, to which I replied " why don't you buy your own"? Then she admits she's got a record and can't buy one legally.

In the People's republic of NY, you need to have a clear chain of ownership should you pass away. If not the state will relieve your estate of all handguns and bring them to the local smelting pot to cheer and eat popcorn while your beloved treasures fade into a pile of molten steel. My wife co-owns all of my handguns. As for my wife, she looks like a total bada** with 3 pages of handguns on her CC permit.

A guy I used to shoot with tried that a few times, the gun went into HER safe and he had ask for her permission to shoot the gun.
Wife and I were driving home from grocery
Store Saturday, she said there is a yard sale
let’s stop.
I pulled in she started looking at nick- knacks
I started talking to the owner , ask if he had any guns for sale. He said no but he had some
Gun cases he did not need. I bought them.
Wife got in car with out buying anything.
Went on down the road , another yard sail
Ask do you want to stop? She said yes
So I pulled in.
She started looking at BS I saw some tools
Went over to look. Past the tools was a table
With long guns on it . Only thing interesting
Was a model 37 Ithaca featherlight 16 ga.
Which I bought.
Wife got in car with out buying anything.
Went on down the road another yard sale
I ask do you want to stop she said NO.

Not to brag, but....okay, to brag. My bride of 46 years has always actively encouraged my collecting/accumulating. She isn't much of a shooter herself, but she can hold her own with anything I hand her, is always glad to take a few shots with anything I bring home, and does maintain a healthy interest in killing whitetails for the freezer. I don't recall that she has ever - not once - objected when I announced I was going to make a new purchase.
