Started shooting on a regular basis again recently. I upgraded my arsenal and need a better bag to go back and forth to the range with. I want to fit 3 pistols, ammo, ears and eyes and the like. I saw this on amazon. Anyone use it? Or have a better option? Thanks in advance.

It looks sturdy but not that big. Probably fine unless you want to put ammo in it too. I needed a bag a bit bigger so I could throw tools in it along with everything else. It gets heavy on the way to the range. Not so bad leaving.

What I have used for many years is similar to an old portable typewriter plastic carrying case, but larger and thicker. I don't know exactly what it was originally used for, but I got it for a dollar at a garage sale. Perfect for targets, earmuffs, tools, stapler, and spotting scope/tripod. It is fairly lightweight, very sturdy and completely waterproof. I could even carry some ammo in there if needed. I don't put handguns in it as I have a separate hinged lid pistol case for that which will hold up to four of them plus ammo.

I've been using the BOB bag from LA Police gear in black Strong, compact, lots of pockets and features and handles 3 pistols,8 mags,6 speed loaders,400+ rounds, eyes, ears, targets and peripherals very comfortably and the best part is it cost me $14.99 + shipping...so I bought 2.Check it out.

Check out the compact range bag at Midway. Very well made and holds at least four guns and room for all your ammo and accessories. I think they are on sell for around $30. It helps to have some shooting buddies to opt in on an order to share the shipping cost.

I have been using a green Stanley tool bag I got from Walmart. Costs all of $16!
Plenty of room and easy to carry.
My major complaint about 'GUN BAGS' is that's just what they look like. And they don't have a lot of room.
A friend gave me a name brand gun bag. When I carried to car one day someone called out, "Going to the range? Well, have fun."
With the green bag the same guy said, "Off to work I see. Have a good one."
Am I being paranoid? Yes. But am I paranoid enough?
Am I cheap? Lets see. $80 + tax for a pistol bag at LGS vs $16 for Stanley bag at Wallworld. That's the price of 1500 rds of .22!

Love the Midway bags, worth the price and downright cheap when they are on sale. I buy them as gifts for folks I like.

I purchased a Dillon range bag back in 1993 or 94. I still have the same bag and there is only a small spot where one of the zippers started to separate from the bag.

Another vote for the Midway range bag, the large one that is. Bought one last spring and I really like it.

Got an OD color Midway bag, the big one, and couldn't be happier. Mine's not the only one I see on the range. Liked it so much I got a black one to carry all the junk I lug to gun shows.

Go to either lowe's or Home Depot and look in the tool section the tool bags range in size from little to huge. But do yourself a big favor. If you do pick out one you like get the next biggest size. Range bags end up being catch-all's for just about everything. What happens if you happen to find a nice pile of 45acp brass on the floor? Walk away' I don't think so. Most of us who use ranges tend to be brass rats you know them little critters that scrounge any case they can use. I once brought home about 500 mixed 45 auto cases. Once deprimed and cleaned they became part of my stash. Wally world bags are useful for picking up brass. Frank

I have had really good luck with my Midway bag. Like others have said, buy when they are on sale.

I have had good luck and really like BagMaster range bags. They make pretty neat holsters too.

I've been using Midway Compact Competition Range bags 939167522 for many years. There's a larger Midway Competition bag 939259680. I also use the Midway pistol bags 939160870 which fit nicely into the Compact Competition. The pistol bag holds seven mags and has two good sized zippered pockets that I use for pistol specific stuff which helps reduce clutter in the range bag.

I use the S&W Magnum bag... durable and good in size, but for more than 2 handguns too small.

I have the Dillon bag and although it's a nice one it could stand being bigger. The tool bags sound like your best bet.
