Range bag?

Only firearm I have is my 15-22. Soon to be a M&P 15 in Feb. So what I usually pack in my backpack is earmuffs, targets, cleaning kit, staple gun and other misc items. So I'm guessing a large bag would be to much for my items. Everything seems to pack into my backpack ok, just need it a littler big larger but not 2 much..I'm a complicated individual lol

If your only firearm is your 15-22 I would get you a nice soft case for your rifle that has outer pockets on it. I have a condor and a gamewinners soft case and in 1 bag I can carry everything I need for the range with room to spare.

My case has 5 pockets. I can double stack the mags in if I wanted to, but I only put 1/pocket (since I only have 5 :( )..not big enough for my other goodies lol

im using a old original Playstation case that worksout really well, Its Black Leather with carrying handles and a shoulder strap! I will have to take pics of it. Holds my gloves, Up too 8 25rd mags, I have a box of 325 rds of CCI Mini-Mags! Bore Snake with some CLP Spray and another pouch to hold ear plugs and tools!!!

I prefer to carry firearm and magazines in one case and everything else in a Cabela's dry box. This applies to all my firearms, long and short.

I recently purchased a "Magnum Range Bag" off the S&W site. It wasn't
cheap but appears to be well made. The zippers aren't balky like they are on a lot of cheaper bags & it holds all that I need it to: 2 semi's, 4 magazines each, generally 200 rounds, eyes, ears & ball cap. It has a few
side pockets for the few tools that I carry. Its a good looking bag, black
with a prominent S&W logo. All in all, I'm happy with it.

My Range bag which is a old original Playstation carrying bag. Plenty of room, I will hold 2 boxes of 325rds CCI Min-Mags and 8 25rd mags. I have my ear pieces in little green box, Gloves on the side, another pocket hold CLP with Boresnake which I don't need to care with me, Binoculars in another pocket and still have the big pocket empty. Didn't show any tools cuz I had them on desk, Alan wrench, Screw Driver, basic stuff. Worked out good, Had it in attic for 15 years or so and never used it, LOL!

I bought and use an iShot range bag. If I had to purchase one now, I'd check the heavy duty (many pockets) bags at Home Depot, LOWES or Sears. The costs are far less and they will serve your gun stuff well.

not to mention, waterproof, tough as nails and any size you desire. AND you see what your getting.

a Lowes bucket bag that I use to carry ammo and magazines.

Mine has tons of pockets for mags and handguns. Also great to sit on too. Cabela's has Ice fishing buckets that are a bit taller and come with a lid to sit on. Works great year round if you ice fish too.

What kind of bag (to those who take one) are you using to take to gun range?

Ive been thinking about buying a new bag. Currently using an old jobs school backpack that needs replacing.

Anyone use a UTG bag? I would like one to match my rifle soft cases (have one thats black, and army digital)

Curious what kind of bags everyone uses.

My bag has to match my outfit...

I have bags I bought at gun shows, Walmart in the auto section, Sears in the tool department.

What I grab depends on how much stuff I'm taking.

No reason to spend big bucks on a bag to carry stuff from your car to the bench at a range!

Have fun............

I shopped around, I use my roma 7070 leather pistol pack for all around carry. nice soft leather, looks good as a waist or fanny pack. 3 compartments, the largest has a built in adjustible gun holder like a soft holster and clip holder. I pack a sw638-3, and 2- concealed holsters and a speed loader in this compartment. The other 2 can carry, phone, keys, wallet etc.. Nice for hiking, leave in truck, house, holsters available for cc. I'm a 1-gun owner so this works for the range as well. This is available in 3 sizes, I have the medium.

Since my personal bag is nothing special I will recommend the Cabela's Digi-Camo bag my son just bought. It has a bunch of special features including a used brass pouch and a barrel steady and sells for less than $50. I think they are on sale during their Fall Specials sale. Whatever you get, make sure you have plenty of room for eyes with spare lenses and ears that are more than just basic. You can never tell what others at the range will be shooting and the best ear protection is the only way to go. I found this out when I took my new .22TCM pistol for it's maiden voyage this week. People running .45's and .357's were shocked when that thing went off. Even with my electronic muffs it was a surprise. Just be prepared for the possibilities, okay?

Whatever you get don't ever use it as an "over night" bag and try to go through airport security with it - might make for a long day for you!

Seems like I can never have a large enough bag.
The bigger the bag, it seems like, it gives me the excuse to throw more stuff in there.
Pistols, magazines, eyeware, 2 sets of hearing, timers. Clip boards, rain gear. The list goes on and on. LOL.
I needa duffel bag.

Gloves? Am I missing something? Sometimes I will wear gloves if I'm shooting my 45/70 revolver with 550 gr. bullets and a heavy charge of 3031. It helps if you've had hand surgery like I have. Perhaps I'm not tactical!

I wear golf gloves for almost all my shooting - eases the arthritis in old hands.
