Took my non-lasar BG to the range today. I had fired it previously with about 150 rounds. In those 150 I had one light strike and it did not lock back several times-not locking back is not an issue for me. Today I fired another 100 (50 MagTech-95gr FMJ, 50 Freedom Munitions-100gr FMJ flat point). I had no light strikes, but the last round of one mag failed to feed the flat point. At that point it was very dirty and I believe the flat point hung up on the ramp. The 100gr were noticeably hotter, but were very accurate. Again, several times it would not lock back. I carry this everyday with Fiocchi Extremas-95gr JHP behind Buffalo Bore 95gr JHP as a first round. BTW,the serial number is KBUxxxx. Test fired May of 2014.

The slide stop was a little tight on my BG when it was new. It loosened up after a short while. The safety is still a thumb breaker, but not an issue for me since I never use it. The 10.5+lb and looooong trigger pull is plenty of "safety" for me.

I was out shooting prickly pear leaves at the ranch this afternoon with mine. I've had it 5 months now, and put about 150 rounds through it using about 7 different brands of ammo - including some gun show-purchased reloads. I cycled the trigger mechanism pretty heavily (1200+ times) using snap caps and the trigger is really smooth now.

I've never had any issues with fail to feed, eject or lockback on empty mag. However, I have had some light strike problems that seem to be related to the reloads, and some of the bargain ball ammo I've bought, but they all fired on the second strike. None of the premium SD (4 brands) have given me any problems at all.

I also have a Sig 232 .380 that has been fed about half of the same ammo the BG has. It has not missed a beat with anything it was loaded with.

I think I will pull the firing pin assembly out and clean & oil it thoroughly, then give it another couple of sessions with cheap ammo to see how it responds. I'll report back in a few weeks.
