Took two favorites to the range today. Had an issue though. Not my reloads as to be expected but rather my 27-2 6” decided to lock up when cocking single action. Some how the spring and pin that goes to the rear of the cylinder release was missing! My trusty magnet found it in my gun room but my carelessness is concerning! Anyway I shot my best 25 yard group to date with it, 1” at 25. The reason why? Cause it was binding up and not cocking single action until I opened the cylinder. It completely took the nut behind the trigger out of the equation.

At least you were able to get out and shoot a couple American classics! A great day in my book! I can't believe you were lucky enough to find your parts. Go buy a lottery ticket!

Yes, you were lucky, those are two SMALL parts. I had a rebound spring go twang on me when I was reassembling my mod 10 a few weeks ago and I still haven't fount it. Lucky for me, my gunsmith friend had a few and let me have one. As an armorer, I probably dis and reassembled 1000s of S&W revolvers and this was the first one I had get away from me. I do believe it has something to do with me being 81 now.
