Range report for Apex trigger

Took my new 40 Shield mod 1.0 and put 100 165 gr JRN and 100 180 gr JRN through it. The trigger was awesome, actually so cosistent that I was able to focus on grouping instead of creep or reset. Good grouping, dead on left to right, shot 6 inches low with both weights at 12 yards. Went to Kittery Trading Post, bought 4 more different brands and will see if I can find one that shoots higher. Great day, sunny, 65 degrees, no wind and alone at the range. Shield functioned flawlessly.

Add the APEX barrel too!

I agree about using the APEX trigger being a great help, in my case on a (MP9 M2.0). However, I suggest that one should also add the APEX hand-fit barrel as well.

Having both the above increased my accuracy, but I found having both made my pistol light years ahead of OEM.

Rather than swap out brands of ammo perhaps it may just be your sight picture. Any guns I have that are dead on horizontally but off vertically, I just adjust my sight picture accordingly.

I adjust or replace the sights, I don't want to have to remember that gun A is on with a square hold, but gun B requires a full bead and gun C calls for a fine bead.

I also prefer to have the gun set for me rather than having to remember its hold. I was having to hold 4 inches high to get bulls. I bet there is a brand and weight of ammo that will do what I want. Going back to the range in 12 hours. Fingers crossed.

Do your testing from a solid rest. If you are shooting low then check out sight calculated at Dawson precision.

Which sight picture are you using?

Changing the trigger should not affect your Point if Impact (PoI). Ammo is not likely to change a 12-yard PoI 6". All accuracy testing must be done from a rest with careful attention to grip, sight alignment and trigger pull consistency.
