Range report M&P9c

I was able to go to an outdoor range this afternoon and cycle about 150 rounds through my wife's new M&P9c. They were all reloads and they all went bang and cycled out. I did have 1 issue where the magazine stopped pushing up the ammo with about 6 left in it. It was like there was a metal burr or something. When I pushed the side of the mag where it stopped feeding with my finger it released and then I didn't have any other issues. I'm not sure what that was, but it performed flawlessly. I did have the front sight lose its white dot, but I dropped some orange paint on the spot when I got home. Overall, I love the gun, and more importantly, my wife loves her gun as well. Looks like I have a new range partner!

Mine did this too after I switched the release from the left side to the right side (I'm a lefty). After talking to customer service so I made sure I didn't void my warranty, I gently sanded the sharp corners of the plastic follower and rounded them off. Problem solved.

I always take everything apart when I get a new weapon. Mostly out of curiosity,but I like to check for burrs and get to know the new weapon inside and out.

Happy for you, we have an M&P9 on lay a way, can't wait to 'rescue' it and go shooting, (it's the wife's gun).

Congrats on your purchase. The more I shoot mine the more I like her. After several hundred rounds the only problem was with some of my reloads. And I blame that on myself as I was new to reloading and going through the learning process. Btw mine carrys nicley in a Galco king tuk.

Problem with having your wife for a range partner is you may wake up one morning and realize that she has bought more guns in the past year than you have. Ask me how I know.

Then there's the danger that she may just consistently out shoot you.

Same thing happened to mine. I looked up and there was no dot anymore. Wasn't crazy about the sights anyway. Ordering some Bowie Tactical Ameriglos. I've only put about 150 rounds through it. I need to get out and do some serious practice with this puppy as I wasn't very consistent. Shot three different loads through it and it cycled them all w/o problems. The CorBon +P loads were very snappy but still manageable. Made some pretty sparks too! Handles very different than my old Sig 229. I'm new to the M&P platform. Think I'm going to like it just fine. Considering getting a full size and a m&p22 next. I may even sell off the Sig.
