First 50 rounds downrange. Takes a few rounds to learn the trigger. It is a fantastic gun. Very accurate and pretty soft shooting to my surprise. It handles the recoil well. Not sure how they worked that out but is is really impressive.

I have to say again that I would/did choose this over a Sig 226, HK P-30 or Glock for a carry gun. Very impressed.

sweet... I just got an M&P9 but I have to admit, I really liked the p226, just couldnt afford it. I have never shot one but it makes me feel better to know that you like the M&P better! I LOVE my m&p either way though.

I have the M&P Compact 357 sig, 200 rounds thru it now and seems the trigger gets a little better as I go. No issues at all with it and very accurate. Recoil is no problem and ergonomics are great. Fun to shoot and will be my carry gun.

I have a pair of M&Ps; a full size 45 and a 9C. On both, the triggers seemed stiff at first. Smooth, but stiff. After a hundred or so rounds of WWB, both settled down surprisingly. Now, the triggers are noticably lighter and the "feel" has improved, too. From my limited experience, it seems the the M&P mechanism just requires some slight breaking in.

Now, both of these pistols are a real pleasure to shoot.
