Range report! Sd40ve

Just picked up my sd40ve earlier this week. Finally made it to the range this morning. 200 rounds with absolutely no problems at all!!! No failures whatsoever. Very smooth. Trigger didn't really bother me up until 150 rounds. Finger started getting tired. Gonna look into apex kit. Also very accurate! This was the biggest firearm I've fired so far and was surprised on its accuracy. Def happy with it and looking forward to getting back in!

Congratulations!

The SDVE is a good platform. Personally, I don't mind the trigger...I like it to be heavier on a gun with no thumb or grip safety. Mine was smooth, no grit, when I bought it, and it gotten better over time with nothing more than live and dry firing.

Ill try another few hundred rounds before swapping the trigger. Like you said, maybe it'll loosen up for me. Thanks!

Don't let me mislead you...it won't (or at least mine hasn't) get down to the lower pull weights as advertised by Apex and those who've installed them. It's still about 7 pounds, I guess...but fine for me. It's not a target pistol, and I figure under stress I'm not going to notice the weight...as long as I can keep the rounds in center mass, it will be OK. Actually, I hope I never have to use it under stress!

It's not and never will be a 1911...it is what it is, and that's fine by me.

i dropped in the galloway trigger spring kit and the trigger pull went down to around 6 pounds. best money spend besides ammo.
