Have any members here ever had any experience with Range USA? They just opened 2 new stores near me.

My brother and I have shot numerous times at their range in Mentor, Ohio. i have to say that it is a first class facility as an indoor range at a reasonable price. Go to their web site and read the range rules to see how committed the company is to safety.

The store usually carries a good stock of firearms for sale. And it provides a dedicated hand washing facility on the store floor so shooters can wash up before leaving.

Check it out.

It's my go-to gun store and range here in Naperville, IL. Only problem is, the city want to limit what guns they can sell and to whom. It's been a legal fight here in IL. since last year. I think it's headed for the Supreme Court this Fall.

There is one going up in Valley View on Canal rd where the Foots Farm market has been for many years. Too bad for Cleveland Armory not too far away. I ship all my guns from Cleveland Armory that I sell.

Never shot at a public range and probably won't shoot at this one. Shame, only a little over a mile away. It will take some business from Stonewall but probably most of the inner city shooters.

Seems like a small building to have a range. Still under construction. The owner must have a lot of money opening all the ranges all over. Larry

Brand new one in Baton Rouge . Never been there . Not a fan of indoor ranges .

The company is a reboot of Range Point Blank. They had a suicide on range and in Cincinnati, the sold a gun that shot up 5/3 Bank's main branch. None of that was their fault, but it spoiled their image.

There has been one on US 23 south of Delaware, Ohio for about 5 or 6 years. My best friend has a date night with his wife almost every other Friday.

I used to frequent the Shoot Point Blank in Blue Ash, Ohio and The Ready Line in Newtown, Ohio both of which now operate under the Range USA banner.

Both are very nice facilities.

The facility in Mentor, OH was a Shoot Point Blank range. When I go up to visit my brother we've always had a day at the range. I had a nice experience there showing one of the range officers my chromed Luger and letting him shoot it a little bit.

I heard about the one that opened in Baton Rouge. I am not a fan of indoor ranges either, but it does seem rather convenient. Their website makes it seem like they provide a better experience than most indoor ranges around here. If other shooters provide positive reviews I may check them out.

I always preferred outdoor ranges due to the noise. But lately the indoor ranges are growing on me. Noisy as all get out, but maybe that's a good thing. Gets one used to shooting in a hostile environment. You learn to shut it out.

Plus, here in Texas, air conditioning is nice. There's less time commitment as you don't have ceasefires for target changes. The busy outdoor range I used for years had 20 minute ceasefires. Took me three hours to get through my targets vs half that at the indoor range.

The outdoor range allowed more interaction with other shooters during the ceasefire, but that was not necessarily a positive for me.

I've seen a few very nice ranges close up only to have Range USA re-open them. I wonder if that's their business model. Let somebody else build it, and buy it up when they go broke.

First class operation.
I use the one in Shorewood, Il. and the one in Mokena, Il.
The only thing I don't care for is their Midwest range ammo sold specifically there, to me it seems to be underpowered and very dirty .
Firearms are in limited supply due to the governors restrictions.

Well run and well stocked. I like.
Pricing is not too bad comparatively either.

Pretty much an outdoor range guy, but when it gets seriously cold it is tough to go out there.

Shooter 2, I stopped in the O'Fallon, MO store today. Very bright in the store & on the range, good selection in the rental area & sales floor. Very much a big corporate store, there were 8 employees while I was there. Gun prices seemed ok & there was plenty of ammo to be had. They charge $75.00 for a transfer, but the man I spoke with said if you did the expensive monthly plan that reduced the fee.

Yes. I shoot at the Lewisville, TX location. Good staff. Fair prices. Nice selections of ammo, firearms, accessories. Range is a bit dark, but OK. Here in TX the summer heat can be brutal...so I have come to enjoy the indoor ranges. My two...
