Ranges, training and gun shops in Memphis TN.

I spent this past Saturday morning introducing a friend and his brother to handgun shooting. It was a first for both. They seemed to enjoy the whole thing.

The brother lives near Memphis TN. His work takes him away from home a good bit and he and his wife were thinking about firearms to supplement the home security.

He was going to look into ranges and training in the area and I was wanting to see what might be found in there.

One range in Memphis is Rangemaster.
I see their monthly newsletter and have one of the owner's DVDs.
They have a lot of classes.

One of the previous County Mayors named Rout I believe, did away with the great outdoor County range on Walnut Grove Road years ago. A great shame. Guns & Ammo is about the only large gun store in Memphis located on Summer Avenue in a not-so-hot section of Memphis. Several small shops, but not many of them left, either.
