Rare Model 19-2s

I was able to recover some early photos of my collection taken by Paul Goodwin about twenty years ago and thought I would share a couple. Bottom photo...19-2, K594000 range, 5-inch barrel, nickel finish, shipped on August 16, 1965. Made for Bob Loveless, famous knife maker. This is the only 19-2 I have seen with the blued red ramp on a ramp base. Top photo...19-2, K781000 range, 5-inch barrel, nickel finish, shipped on June 30, 1969. Test revolver for the Florida FHP. One of five to ten made. This barrel length is the rarest for the .357 Combat Magnum. Single click on each photo for a closer look.

What color is that front sight on the prototype? It looks gray in the pic.

It is nickel plated, but the ramp on the ramp base has a matte finish like the barrel rib so not to reflect light. That is why it appears grayish in the photo.

(Sigh) My collecting niche is the 19-2 in all barrels and finishes. You just added more unobtainium to my list. This is worse than the 3inch examples. I'm doomed.

I normally avoid using the R word but...RARE, and incredibly high condition. Thank you for posting your old pictures. Mr. Goodwin is a great photographer.
