Raven Concealment VanGuard 2

I have an M&P9 FS and I've been looking at the Raven Concealment VanGuard 2 as a temporary CCW holster until I can purchase a dedicated CCW pistol.

Does anybody have any experience with them? Are they worth it? Is there any slipping or discomfort?

It shouldn't slip with a good belt.

Discomfort is relative. All the edges will be up against your body and through any clothing between you and the gun. Also any oil on the slide will
be up against whatever it's in contact with.

I know a few people that use them as a grab-it-to-go-to-the-store or something goes on around the house and they want to put something on quick.

For the same sort of money you can get something to cover the whole gun... but if you want a minimal as hell holster it's pretty good.

It's always pro's and cons with carrying.

I use the VG2 as my iwb holster with my m&p 9c and fs. It does not move much and allows for a full grip on the pistol. I do normally wear a light undershirt(aka wife beater) under my shirts. I recommend it.

I use it for compact and full size. I really dig it. It's 'loose' enough to adjust for comfort while driving or sitting at a dinner table. It's so easy to put on, there's no reason not to carry- for short trips to the store, or a long day watching a baseball game etc. I use frog lube on my firearms so oily residue is not an issue. I highly recommend these 'holsters'

Minimal is my go to think, being in Florida dressing light is important.

I use FrogLube, too, so I wasn't too worried about that. How low does it sit in your waistband?

I keep it 1200-12:30. The depth is somewhat adjustable. Nice to be able to tuck in a shirt if needed too. Got mine on eBay for a song n dance.

Does it hide it well with a tucked in shirt or does it look a bit lumpy? The appendix carry option interested me, but I've always felt it might be too bulky up front. Did you get the original or the two?

I think it hides well. A dark colored shirt helps camouflage the remaining shape. And the strap thingy is black so it kinda stands out on a belt that isn't black (coyote for an example) Really only the back 3rd of the firearm is above my pants. I'm 260 pounds with not a lot of gut (or so I fancy to think) and it doesn't show at all on me. There is a period of getting acclimated to having a hunk of metal down your pants- but now I swear by it. I have the 2, not the original.
