Maybe they've been out for awhile, but was just checking out Cabelas website and see both the versions listed as in-stock.

I personally like the 7 station press as I prefer to expand and drop powder in two separate stations.
I have a Hornady LnL AP and Dillon RL550 so I will probably not get one.

The rockchucker is the best single stage press made.

That is a good way to start an argument around here. The Prochucker is RCBS' new progressive press.

Unfortunately, with the prices they have posted I fear that they may have priced themselves out of the progressive market like they did with the Pro2000.

Until some good reviews are published, the only benefit I see to the 5-station is that it can become a 7-station.

But the way the 7-station is priced, seems like it's too close to the Dillon 1050.

So . . . waiting for some unbelievable reviews before considering divorcing my LnL AP. If i do, at least it won't leave taking half my stuff with her :)

You better buy one, so you can patent a primer catcher system for it and become rich and famous.

I had their regular progressive and they gave you a little screw cap cup the size of a baby food jar.

Heck at least LEE gives you a long plastic (vinyl) tube.:D

I am good at math, accounting and such but I really do not want to do a cost analysis payback period for that price of a press plus components at today's prices. I foresee a very long payback period for the average shooter. One could BUY a lot of ammo at that price!

Were is my scientific/financial calculator anyway?;)

~4,000 rounds of Blazer 9mm 115gr ball ammo bought today at Midway costs $1,012.

4,000 rounds reloaded into free brass costs ~$520 at todays component prices.

So, it takes 1 to 4 years per $1k invested depending on how much you shoot . . . and how soon you buy that ammo. Most folks are more likely to buy components in bulk and freeze the cost for a while.

If you use other than "9mm RN" bullets, your savings increase significantly. Blazers are fine, but they aren't a match or SD load.

If you reload rifle, there are many other benefits.

Still don't know where these RCBS presses fit in against the competition though lol.

As with any of the expensive presses it is not just the press price. It is all the extras especially if load a lot of calibers.

Which Dillon/RCBS is right for you?

Talking Dillon here:
Well the picture on the ad is not what you get for the money. The actually press shown is probably twice as much and it's for one caliber.

RCBS makes really go stuff and their press is probably equal to a Dillon but for that money people will go to the Blue team.:)

I would not consider one of the Prochucker presses until they get the breaking primer slide issue resolved.
