Will an S&W 4053 fit in a 4046 holster? Found a 4046 holster but cannot find a specific holster for the 4053? Help Please!

Placed my 4053 directly ontop of the 4046 and there is no discernible difference other than the extra 1/2" of barrel on the 4046.

The 4053 will fit into any 4046 holster however the securing strap or snap could be loose if not adjustable.

Single column 4053 fits the 45?? series holsters.
The double column 4053 fits the 59?? series holsters.

I own the 4053 and 4046 models. It will fit in some holsters depending on style. I'd be concerned about retention.

The 4046 is a double stack while the 4053 is a single stack built on a .45 frame similar to the 4516/457 models.

You may have better results searching for a holster that will work best for your 4053 from the 4516/457 models offered by LE holster makers like Hume, Bianchi, Safariland...

Check out the Don Hume H715-M holsters for an open-top IWB carry option. I like mine with the sweat shield for our NC humid summer weather and the 1.75" clip which works well with my gun belt. It holds the pistol close to my body so I'm not concerned about printing. Don Hume has other styles that may be more to your liking.
